Le Président BORRELL appelle le PE à faire preuve de courage....et endosse pleinement son rôle de représentant du peuple européen par-delà les différences politiques, pour reprendre sa voix et retrouver "l'esprit de 1984", à l'époque d'Altiero SPINELLI.

The lawyer, Roy REDING, filed a lawsuit to get his country’s approval of the EU constitution annulled claiming that public funding was used illegally in support of the ‘Yes’ campaign. La Turquie signe (29/07) le protocole sur l'union douanière avec 10 nouveaux Etats membres.
...Il faudra attendre que l'Union se prononce officiellement sur la déclaration relative à Chypre que la Turquie a ajoutée au protocole signé, qui spécifie que « la signature, la ratification et la mise en œuvre de ce protocole ne signifient en rien une reconnaissance de la République de Chypre mentionnée dans ce protocole ».

Cyprus has warned it will push for a "counter-statement" against Turkey's declaration and French President Jacques Chirac has insisted Ankara explain its position on the Cyprus issue.
